After many thought things we settled on the idea of using a local winery for the ceremony and reception. We’re not huge wine drinkers but its something that we’ve been doing more and more. Plus the properties are beautiful!
Option 1 - Right now it’s my top choice. The coordinator was the first to respond to my email inquiry (which is a big deal for me). They have a TON of different wines many of which are fruit-types which is definitely up the right ally for Bran and I. And I’ve found a few online reviews that all spoke very highly of the location as a wedding venue.
Option 2 - This place is super close to our house and has become our go-to wine pick-up location. Unfortunately as a venue it is probably a bit of a long shot. The indoor location that was suggested is probably a bit smaller than we want to go. Plus they require that you pick from a limited choice of caterers. I don’t like being limited! But we thought it was still worth checking out.
Option 3 - The winery and tasting room are located up on top of a hill with an amazing deck overlooking their grapes. They also have a separate wedding “cove” which also seems amazingly beautiful although I’ve never seen it in person. Sadly this would also be the most expensive option. Plus this is the only venue that started talking dates already and most of September and October is already booked.
I’ve managed to schedules visits to all 3 along with all of the parental units on Saturday. Wish us luck!
